CAMP DARAPANAN, Maguindanao del Norte (14 September 2025 / 22 Rabi Al-Awwal 1447 AH) — Moro Islamic Liberation Front Central Committee (MILF-CC) Chairman and United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) President Al Haj Murad Ebrahim led a major assembly of Inner Guard Base Commanders, reaffirming the enduring struggle for Bangsamoro self-determination.

The gathering, hosted by Commander Badrudin “Sir Badz” Akmad Ebrahim, was attended by MILF First Vice Chairman and Peace Implementing Panel Chair Mohagher Iqbal, as well as MILF AHJAG Chairperson Anwar “Young Fighter” Alamada. The assembly sought to strengthen the commanders’ loyalty to the cause and provide direct, uncompromised guidance from the MILF leadership.

In his address, Chairman Murad delivered a historical overview of the Bangsamoro struggle, recalling the centuries of resistance against foreign colonizers and the painful massacres of Kulong-kulong, Malisbong, and Jabidah. He declared that the struggle continues, but now through political means: “from rifles to pens, from bunkers to polling precincts, from bullets to votes.”

Murad emphasized that while the creation of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) is a milestone, it remains only a step toward the ultimate aspiration of genuine freedom.

Vice Chairman Iqbal, meanwhile, highlighted the hard-won achievements of the MILF, stressing that they were borne out of sacrifice and perseverance. He urged commanders to safeguard these gains, remain steadfast to the MILF Central Committee, and stay committed to the cause until the Bangsamoro’s aspirations are fully realized.
