September 10, 2025 | Mindanao — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has warned residents across Mindanao to prepare for partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms throughout Wednesday, September 10, due to the prevailing easterlies.

In its 5:00 a.m. regional weather bulletin, PAGASA said most provinces in Mindanao will experience warm and humid conditions during the day, but thunderstorms could develop in the afternoon or evening. These sudden downpours may bring flash floods and landslides, particularly in low-lying and mountainous areas.

Winds will be light to moderate, blowing from the southeast to east, while seas will generally be slight to moderate, ranging from 0.6 to 1.0 meters, making coastal waters relatively safe for fishing and other marine activities.

Regional Outlook

  • Zamboanga Peninsula — Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, and Isabela City can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rainshowers or thunderstorms. Temperatures will hover between 23°C and 34°C during the day, cooling down to 22°C to 31°C at night.
  • Northern Mindanao — Bukidnon, Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, and Lanao del Norte will also experience a mix of sun and clouds with possible thunderstorms. Daytime highs may reach 33°C, while nighttime lows could drop to 19°C. Coastal seas will remain slight to moderate.
  • Davao Region — Metro Davao and the provinces of Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, and Davao Occidental will have generally fair weather, turning cloudy with rainshowers or thunderstorms later in the day. Temperatures are expected between 22°C and 33°C.

  • Caraga Region — Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and the Dinagat Islands will encounter partly cloudy skies with intermittent rainshowers or thunderstorms. Maximum temperatures are projected between 24°C and 33°C.
  • Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) — Cotabato City, Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Maguindanao del Norte, and Maguindanao del Sur are forecast to have the same weather pattern, with daytime highs reaching 32°C and nighttime lows dipping to around 21°C.
