KIDAPAWAN CITY – Members of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) of Barangay Linangkob discovered several bricks of suspected marijuana inside a carton left along the roadside in the early hours of Wednesday, September 10.

According to Kidapawan City Police Chief PLt. Col. Dominaor Palgan Jr., the BPAT was conducting patrol operations when they noticed a carton box near a creek. At first, the team suspected that the box contained a fetus. However, upon inspection by barangay officials, it was revealed to be filled with marijuana bricks.

Barangay officials, led by Barangay Captain Erwin Pamat, immediately coordinated with the Kidapawan City Police. Authorities suspect that the carton was intentionally left by a marijuana supplier at the site, which was supposed to serve as a pick-up point for the buyer. The BPAT, however, discovered it first.

The Kidapawan City Police are now investigating the possible identity of the supplier and the intended recipient of the contraband. The seized marijuana bricks are currently in police custody for proper disposition.
