PAGALUNGAN, Maguindanao del Sur — A 54-year-old farmer was rushed to the hospital after falling from a coconut tree he had climbed in Barangay Damalasak, Pagalungan, last August 28.
The victim was identified as Bati Sumagka, a resident of the said barangay. Reports said Sumagka had climbed the tree to trim its leaves when he accidentally slipped and fell.
The impact of the fall left him unconscious and caused a fracture to his left arm. He was immediately brought to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Doctors declared his condition stable, and he has since been discharged. He is now recovering at home, though still nursing his broken arm.
Sumagka’s family expressed gratitude to neighbors and concerned residents who extended assistance and showed support during the incident.
