KIDAPAWAN CITY — In a meaningful show of appreciation, the City Government of Kidapawan extended its support not only to students but also to the educators shaping the minds and values of the youth.

On Thursday noon, July 31, a total of 252 teachers from various private elementary and high schools in the city received their ₱1,000 transportation allowance during a distribution activity held at the City Gymnasium.

This initiative complements the city’s existing Education Subsidy program for public school students and is seen as a way to recognize the hard work and dedication of private school teachers who continue to provide quality education despite limited institutional support.

“This is our simple way of saying thank you to our private school teachers for their unwavering commitment to the education and moral development of our children,” said a city official during the event.

Grateful for the recognition, several teachers expressed their appreciation to the local government for including them in the city’s support programs. Many noted that such assistance not only helps ease daily expenses but also boosts their morale as educators.

The transportation allowance program began earlier in the week, with more than 1,600 public school teachers receiving their share last weekend.

Kidapawan City’s education-focused programs are part of a broader push to uplift the sector by supporting both learners and teachers. By acknowledging the efforts of both public and private educators, the city strengthens its commitment to inclusive and quality education for all.
