SULTAN KUDARAT, Maguindanao del Norte – A 24-year-old man, identified as Datu Rasheed Pama Dudin, was shot dead in Barangay Salimbao on Tuesday evening, August 12, 2025.
According to police reports, the incident occurred at around 6:20 p.m. The victim, a resident of Barangay Bulalo in the same town, sustained three gunshot wounds to the nape, resulting in his instantaneous death.
Relatives told authorities that the assailants allegedly took Dudin’s iPhone and an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing the scene. The Sultan Kudarat Municipal Police Station has launched a thorough investigation to determine the motive behind the killing and to identify those responsible.
Dudin was an alumnus of Cotabato State University (CotSU) under the Public Administration program. In a statement, the CotSU–Public Administration Alumni Family expressed their deep sorrow over his passing, remembering him as a kind-hearted friend and a dedicated individual in his field.
“His memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him,” the alumni group said, offering prayers for his soul and comfort to his bereaved family.
The group also shared an Islamic prayer for the departed, asking Allah to forgive Dudin, grant him mercy, pardon his shortcomings, and give him a place in Jannatul Firdaus.
Police continue to appeal to the public for any information that may help solve the case.
