DAVAO DE ORO — A total of 450 new bed foams have been officially turned over to the provincial government to boost patient comfort in four provincial hospitals across the province.

Governor Engr. Raul Mabanglo, along with the Provincial Chiefs of Hospitals, received the donation during a turnover ceremony held at the Capitol Lobby. The foam mattresses will be distributed as follows: 160 units for the Davao de Oro Provincial Hospital in Montevista, 140 for Pantukan, 70 for Laak, and 80 for Maragusan.

Medical personnel and patients alike welcomed the donation with enthusiasm and gratitude. In Maragusan, Chief of Hospital Dr. Neil Estoya expressed appreciation for the much-needed assistance, stating that hospital budgets are often limited and that the new foams would significantly ease operations.

“Lisod mangita og foam kay limitado ang budget sa hospital, so kini nga mga foam dako gyud ning tabang sa ospital,” Estoya said.

Patients also shared their happiness, with one remarking, “We’re so happy that we’re in bed so comfortable.”

Governor Mabanglo acknowledged the continued support and said that since the beginning of his administration, the province has been receiving regular assistance in the form of medical equipment and supplies. He emphasized that donations like these directly improve patient care and the overall delivery of health services.

The initiative is seen as a step forward in enhancing the quality of healthcare facilities in Davao de Oro, ensuring that public hospitals can better serve the community with dignity and compassion.
