Mindanao – July 20, 2025 — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued a regional weather forecast warning of widespread rains and thunderstorms across most parts of Mindanao as the southwest monsoon continues to affect the region.
According to the 5:00 AM bulletin from PAGASA-Mindanao PRSD (MINPRSD), the Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and Caraga Region will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms throughout the day. The weather agency warned residents in these areas to remain alert for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rainfall.
The rest of Mindanao, including the Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, and Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Winds across the island will generally be light to moderate from the southwest, with coastal seas ranging from slight to moderate, and in some areas, becoming rough.

Zamboanga Peninsula
- Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, Isabela City: Cloudy skies with rainshowers and thunderstorms throughout the day and night. Temperatures range from 23°C to 34°C.
Northern Mindanao
- Bukidnon: Cloudy with rain and thunderstorms, moderate to strong southwest winds. Temperatures from 19°C to 26°C.
- Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental: Expect cloudy skies with rain and thunderstorms, with moderate to rough seas and temperatures ranging from 26°C to 32°C.
Caraga Region
- Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Islands: Cloudy skies with thunderstorms throughout the day. Expect light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas, with daytime highs up to 33°C.
Davao Region
- Metro Davao, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, Davao Occidental: Partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers or thunderstorms. Temperatures range from 24°C to 32°C.
SOCCSKSARGEN
- North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani: Partly cloudy to at times cloudy with isolated thunderstorms. Daytime highs reach up to 30°C.
BARMM (Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao)
- Cotabato City: Partly cloudy with thunderstorms, temperatures from 23°C to 29°C.
- Basilan: Partly cloudy with thunderstorms, moderate to strong winds, and rough coastal waters.
- Lanao del Sur: Cloudy skies with rain and thunderstorms, with temperatures ranging from 21°C to 27°C.
- Sulu, Tawi-Tawi: Partly cloudy with isolated thunderstorms, with maximum temperatures up to 31°C.
- Maguindanao del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur: Expect cloudy skies with scattered thunderstorms and moderate temperatures around 24°C to 31°C.
