El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued a weather advisory for Mindanao as the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) continues to affect the region, bringing cloudy skies, rainshowers, and thunderstorms over the western parts, particularly the Zamboanga Peninsula and Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
PAGASA warns of possible flash floods and landslides in areas experiencing moderate to occasionally heavy rains. The rest of Mindanao will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Winds will be light to moderate, coming from the southwest to south, with seas ranging from slight to moderate (0.6 to 2.1 meters).

Advisory
Residents, especially those living in low-lying and mountainous areas in Zamboanga Peninsula and BARMM, are advised to remain vigilant for signs of flooding and landslides. Local disaster risk reduction and management councils (DRRMCs) are on standby for rapid response.
