DATU ODIN SINSUAT, Maguindanao del Norte (July 2, 2025) — Four individuals, including a woman, were arrested during a successful anti-drug operation in Barangay Taviran, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte, around 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1.
The suspects were identified as Kadiguia Abel, 40; Aratok Adam, 35; Kaharudin Paglas, 25; and Gabriel Abang, 28. They were immediately detained after allegedly selling suspected shabu worth ₱13,000 to undercover operatives in Sitio Pangi.
According to the Datu Odin Sinsuat Municipal Police Station (DOS MPS), the buy-bust operation stemmed from confidential information about rampant drug activities in the area. Following days of surveillance, authorities launched the operation in coordination with the 2nd Maneuver Platoon, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (1PMFC), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in BARMM (PDEA-BARMM).
During the operation, law enforcers confiscated approximately 2.016 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of ₱13,708 based on the Dangerous Drugs Board valuation. Also seized were marked money, drug paraphernalia, mobile phones, IDs, and other personal items.
Police Brigadier General Jeysan Carpio De Guzman, director of the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR), confirmed the arrest of the suspects, who are now facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. They are currently detained at a local police facility.
Authorities are now conducting follow-up operations to track down two other suspects, believed to be operators of a nearby drug den, who managed to escape during the raid.
