Davao City – June 8, 2025 — A 36-year-old man was arrested in Barangay Talomo, Davao City after allegedly threatening individuals with an air gun around 9:39 a.m. on Sunday.
Authorities identified the suspect as alias Luis, a resident of Purok Basak, Brgy. Talomo. According to the police report, the suspect reportedly uttered the threat “I will kill you” while holding what was initially believed to be a handgun, which was later confirmed to be an air gun pistol.
Luis was successfully apprehended and voluntarily surrendered the air gun to the police. The weapon is now in the custody of the Talomo Police Station as evidence.
The suspect is currently facing charges of Grave Threat and possible violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, despite the weapon used being an air gun.
