Kidapawan City, May 29, 2025 — Key national and provincial government agencies involved in the development of the Central Mindanao Airport (CMA) in M’lang, Cotabato convened for a coordination meeting on Thursday, May 29, to reexamine various aspects of the ongoing project.

Held at the 3rd Floor Annex Building, Capitol Compound in Amas, Kidapawan City, the meeting brought together representatives from the Office of the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (OPPDC), Provincial Engineer’s Office (PEO), Department of Transportation (DOTr), and Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region XII.

During the session, DPWH XII presented the current status of five ongoing infrastructure projects at the CMA, all part of a broader effort to upgrade the airport’s facilities. Meanwhile, the DOTr and its consultants unveiled the proposed conceptual design for the new Passenger Terminal Building (PTB). The presentation included detailed discussions on functionality, safety considerations, and ensuring that the proposed design upholds the highest standards of passenger safety.

The review aligns with Governor Emmylou “Lala” Taliño-Mendoza’s commitment to ensure the efficient and effective implementation of the airport project, which is expected to open significant opportunities for employment, livelihood, and economic growth in Cotabato province.
