Polomolok, South Cotabato — Authorities confiscated suspected shabu worth ₱109,276.00 and arrested three individuals in a successful buy-bust operation in Polomolok, South Cotabato, early Tuesday morning.

The joint operation, conducted around 1:20 a.m., was carried out by operatives from the Polomolok Municipal Police Station, the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, and the Provincial Intelligence Unit of the South Cotabato Police Provincial Office. They were supported by agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Special Enforcement Team, in coordination with PDEA Region XII.

Three suspects were apprehended during the operation. They were identified only by their aliases: “Zaldi,” 36, a jobless resident of Polomolok; “Decs,” 28, a jobless resident of Tupi; and “Wendy,” 25, a resident of Banga. All three are from South Cotabato.

Confiscated from the suspects were four heat-sealed sachets containing suspected shabu, one digital weighing scale, and a one-thousand-peso bill used as marked money during the buy-bust.

The arrested individuals and the seized items are now in police custody at the Polomolok Municipal Police Station for proper documentation and further legal proceedings.

Police officials hailed the operation as a significant step forward in the ongoing fight against illegal drugs in the province.

“This operation shows our resolve to eliminate the drug menace in our communities. I commend the dedication and professionalism of our personnel, as well as the strong collaboration with PDEA,” said Police Brigadier General Arnold P. Ardiente, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 12.

Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to intensifying anti-drug efforts to ensure a safer and drug-free South Cotabato.
