Davao de Oro – The Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office continues its intensified campaign against illegal drugs, arresting two suspects in separate buy-bust operations conducted by municipal police units in Montevista and Maco.
In Montevista, police operatives apprehended a 17-year-old male suspect identified only as alias “Kyle” during a buy-bust operation in Barangay New Visayas. The operation, carried out with proper clearance from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), led to the recovery of several sachets of suspected shabu, a marked money bill, a cigarette box, and a cellphone. The suspect is now in the custody of the Montevista Municipal Police Station for proper handling and legal procedures.
Meanwhile, in Maco town, law enforcers from the Maco Municipal Police Station arrested another suspect known as alias “Boy” during a similar anti-drug operation in Poblacion. Confiscated from the suspect were sachets of suspected shabu, improvised tooters with residue, a lighter, marked buy-bust money, and other drug paraphernalia. The suspect is currently detained at the Maco Police Station for further investigation.
The Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office reaffirmed its commitment to eradicating illegal drugs and protecting communities, especially the youth, from the dangers of substance abuse.
