CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The Oroquieta City Police Station has successfully apprehended the Top 4 City-Level Most Wanted Person during an operation conducted on May 27, 2025, in Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental.

The suspect, identified only by the alias “Lito,” is a 27-year-old farm caretaker and resident of Oroquieta. He was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for four counts of statutory rape, as specified under Criminal Case Nos. 2025-1724 to 2025-1727, dated May 23, 2025. No bail was recommended for his temporary liberty.

According to police records, the victim, a 14-year-old girl, was the suspect’s former girlfriend and was living at her aunt’s residence next to the suspect’s home. Investigators said the accused repeatedly entered the victim’s room through open windows and committed the acts against her will. The incidents took place in May 2024 and were reported after the victim sought help from authorities.

The suspect was read his constitutional rights in a language he understood and is now under the custody of the Oroquieta City Police Station for further legal proceedings.

Police Brigadier General Jaysen C. De Guzman, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10), lauded the efforts of the operating team.

“I commend the Oroquieta CPS for the successful arrest of the accused, who is charged with a serious crime against a minor. This arrest underscores the dedication and hard work of our law enforcement officers in bringing justice and ensuring public safety by relentlessly pursuing wanted individuals,” he said.
