The first operation took place on May 21 in Iligan City during a Commission on Elections (COMELEC) checkpoint conducted by Police Station 5 of the Iligan City Police Office (ICPO) at Purok 15, Barangay Tibanga. Authorities apprehended a 21-year-old newly identified street-level individual known by the alias “Kris,” a jobless resident of Purok 5 in the same barangay.

According to police reports, the suspect attempted to evade the checkpoint by making a U-turn and fleeing on foot. Officers quickly pursued and arrested him. Also recovered from his Gucci sling bag were a weighing scale and forceps.

The following day, May 22, a joint buy-bust operation in Barangay Puerto, Cagayan de Oro City resulted in the arrest of two more suspects: “Juv-juv,” 18, a Regional Priority Target of PRO10, and his companion “LJ,” 26. Both are residents of Purok 5, Naga in Barangay Puerto.

Law enforcers seized eight sachets of suspected shabu weighing 50 grams, with an estimated value of ₱340,000, along with a coin purse and a marked ₱1,000 bill used during the operation.

The suspects are currently detained at their respective police stations for proper disposition and filing of charges.
