In a joint law enforcement operation, personnel of the Malangas Municipal Police Station, in coordination with elements of the 903rd Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 9 (RMFB9) and the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company of Zamboanga Sibugay, implemented Search Warrant No. SW: IM-25-385 in Sitio Alegria, Barangay La Dicha, Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay.
The operation, conducted for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, led to the arrest of a 33-year-old male suspect.
Recovered from the suspect’s possession and control were the following items:
- Seven (7) heat-sealed transparent small cut drinking straws (green and yellow) containing suspected shabu, with an estimated weight of 1.1 grams and a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 7,480.00;
- One (1) piece aluminum foil;
- One (1) small plastic container (white and blue) used to store suspected shabu;
- One (1) black belt bag used as storage for a short firearm;
- One (1) caliber .45 pistol;
- One (1) magazine for caliber .45;
- Eight (8) live ammunition for caliber .45.
The suspect was brought to the Malangas Municipal Police Station for documentation and appropriate legal procedures. The confiscated drug evidence will be forwarded to the Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Forensic Unit for qualitative and quantitative analysis. As part of post-operation protocol, the suspect will also undergo a drug test examination.
