Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental – A suspected drug den was dismantled and three individuals were arrested following a successful buy-bust operation conducted on May 23, 2025, in Barangay Talic.
The operation was carried out by agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Misamis Occidental Provincial Office, in coordination with the PDEA RO10 Interdiction Unit based in Misamis Oriental, MLET/MARPSTA, and the 1002nd Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10 (RMFB10).
Authorities seized approximately 8 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of PHP 54,400.
According to PDEA RO10 Regional Director Atty. Benjamin G. Gaspi, those apprehended were identified only by their aliases: Bryan, the alleged maintainer of the drug den; Mike, reportedly working as an employee; and Geraldo, a visitor during the operation. All three are residents of Oroquieta City.
The suspects will face charges for violating provisions under Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
PDEA reiterated its commitment to intensifying anti-drug efforts in Northern Mindanao and dismantling illegal drug operations in local communities.
