Kidapawan City – As the nation prepares for the upcoming May 12, 2025 National and Local Mid-Term Elections, the City Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has confirmed that a total of 96,335 registered voters in Kidapawan City are set to cast their ballots.
The number of registered voters has increased compared to the 91,000 recorded during the 2022 elections, reflecting the growing political engagement of residents. To accommodate the electorate, there are 128 precincts spread across the 40 barangays of the city.
In the local race, two candidates are vying for the position of City Mayor, while another two candidates are running for City Vice Mayor. Additionally, 26 aspirants are contending for seats in the City Council.
According to COMELEC officials, the campaign period in the city has so far been peaceful, with candidates and supporters adhering to electoral guidelines.
