Iligan City – A joint anti-drug operation on April 26, 2025, in Barangay Villa Verde, Iligan City led to the dismantling of a drug den and the arrest of three suspected drug personalities.
Operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 10 (PDEA RO-10) – Lanao del Norte Provincial Office and its Seaport Interdiction Unit, in coordination with the Iligan City Police Office – Police Station 5 (ICPO-PS5), conducted the successful buy-bust, seizing approximately six grams of suspected shabu. Authorities estimate the standard drug price of the confiscated substances at Php 40,800.
The arrested individuals were identified as:
- Alias “Lalan,” 45 years old, single, resident of Barangay Villa Verde;
- Alias “Joshua,” 27 years old, single, resident of Barangay Villa Verde; and
- Alias “Eduardo,” 43 years old, single, resident of Purok San Francisco, Barangay Villa Verde.
The suspects are now facing charges for violating Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Authorities said the operation highlights the ongoing and intensified efforts to rid communities of illegal drugs, contributing to safer neighborhoods for all Filipinos.
