Cagayan de Oro City – March 10, 2025 – The Police Regional Office 10 (PRO-10) launched the reactivation of the Motorized Anti-Street Crime Operatives (MASCO), known as “Pulis de Motor,” in a ceremony held at Camp Alagar, Cagayan de Oro City.

The event was attended by key officials, with Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region X Regional Director Nelson S. Manaloto serving as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. The initiative aims to enhance police mobility and operational readiness in combating street crimes, particularly those involving riding-in-tandem suspects, snatching, robbery, and other criminal activities.
The reactivation of “Pulis de Motor” is part of the Philippine National Police’s broader strategy to curb street crimes by deploying highly mobile officers equipped to respond swiftly to emergencies and criminal incidents. The operatives will undergo specialized training in pursuit operations, crime prevention, and rapid response techniques to ensure heightened security in urban centers and key areas across Northern Mindanao.
Regional Director PBGen Ricardo P. Layug Jr. emphasized the importance of MASCO in maintaining peace and order, particularly in areas prone to street crimes. He assured the public that the PNP is committed to proactive policing strategies that enhance community safety and deter criminal elements.
With the launch of “Pulis de Motor,” authorities expect a more robust and efficient police presence on the streets, reinforcing efforts to make Northern Mindanao a safer place for residents and businesses alike.
