Wao, Lanao Del Sur – A high-value drug suspect was arrested in a successful buy-bust operation conducted by joint law enforcement units in Barangay East Kili-kili, Wao, Lanao Del Sur on the morning of March 26, 2025.
Police Colonel Robert S. Daculan, Provincial Director of the Lanao Del Sur Police Provincial Office (LDSPPO), commended the operating personnel of the Special Operations Unit 15 (SOU 15) of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group (PNP DEG), along with officers from Wao Municipal Police Station, 3rd Platoon of the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) LSPPO, the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Provincial Special Operations Group (PSOG) LSPPO, and the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU) PRO BAR. The operation was also coordinated with the Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (IMEG) and the Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) BAR.
The operation led to the arrest of a suspect identified as alias “Junjun,” a resident of the area, who is classified as a high-value individual in the anti-drug campaign.
Authorities confiscated two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance, suspected to be shabu, weighing approximately 50 grams. The seized drugs have an estimated street value of Php 340,000. Additionally, the operatives recovered one genuine Php 1,000 bill placed on top of 79 photocopied Php 1,000 bills used as buy-bust money, amounting to Php 79,000. A black Kawasaki Bajaj motorcycle, with chassis number MD2A18AY3JWK64780 and no attached plate number, was also seized.
The confiscated illegal substances and other evidence were taken by PDEG SOU 15 for documentation and proper disposition. Meanwhile, the suspect was brought to Wao District Hospital for a medical examination before being detained at the Wao Municipal Police Station for further legal proceedings.
Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to intensifying anti-drug operations in the region to curb the proliferation of illegal substances and ensure public safety.
