Wao, Lanao Del Sur – The Provincial Director of the Lanao Del Sur Police Provincial Office (LDSPPO) commended the personnel of Special Operations Unit 15 (SOU 15) of the Philippine National Police – Drug Enforcement Group (PNP DEG) for their successful law enforcement operation. The lead unit, in collaboration with operatives from Wao Municipal Police Station (MPS), 3rd Platoon of the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) LDSPPO, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit/Provincial Special Operations Group (PDEU/PSOG) LDSPPO, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU) PRO BAR, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PDEA BAR), executed a well-coordinated illegal drug buy-bust operation in Purok 7, Barangay West Kilikili, Wao, Lanao Del Sur, on January 31, 2025, at approximately 11:05 AM.
The operation led to the arrest of a suspected drug dealer identified as alias “Boboy,” a resident of Purok 5, Barangay West Kilikili, Wao, Lanao Del Sur. Seized from the suspect’s possession were one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, with a total weight of approximately 10 grams. The confiscated illegal drugs had an estimated standard drug price (SDP) value of PHP 68,000.00. Additionally, marked buy-bust money was also recovered from the suspect.
Following the arrest, the suspect and the seized contraband were transported to the Regional Forensic Unit (RFU) in Cotabato City for laboratory examination and further legal procedures.
The Provincial Director lauded the unwavering commitment and dedication of the operating units in their relentless campaign against illegal drugs, emphasizing that their collective efforts significantly contribute to the ongoing fight against drug-related crimes in the region. He also reaffirmed the LDSPPO’s commitment to intensifying anti-drug operations and ensuring a safer community for the residents of Lanao Del Sur.
