Cagayan de Oro City – A coordinated anti-drug operation by the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office – City Drug Enforcement Unit (COCPO CDEU) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) RO-X Regional Special Enforcement Team resulted in the successful arrest of a suspected drug dealer in Barangay Bugo on February 12, 2025.
The suspect, identified by the alias “Kinno,” is a 36-year-old individual caught in possession of approximately 70 grams of suspected shabu. Authorities estimate the seized illegal drugs to be worth around ₱476,000.00.
Kinno will be facing charges for violating Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Law enforcement officials have reiterated their commitment to intensifying anti-drug operations to curb illegal drug activities in the region.
PDEA and COCPO continue to urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious drug-related activities in their communities. Authorities emphasize that community involvement is crucial in the fight against illegal drugs and in maintaining peace and order.
