Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat – February 20, 2025 – Law enforcement authorities successfully conducted a search warrant operation in Purok Sampaguita, Barangay Sta. Clara, Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat, leading to the arrest of a suspect and the seizure of illegal drugs and firearms.
Personnel from the Kalamansig Municipal Police Station (MPS), in coordination with the 2nd Sultan Kudarat Provincial Mobile Force Company (SKPMFC) and other law enforcement units, carried out the operation in compliance with a search warrant issued by Hon. Felix F. Mesa of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 19, 12th Judicial Region, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat.
The operation resulted in the apprehension of a 50-year-old male resident of the area, who is currently unemployed. Authorities confiscated the following items from the suspect’s possession:
- 13 sachets of suspected shabu, weighing approximately 7.6 grams, with an estimated street value of PHP 51,680.00;
- One .357 Magnum revolver;
- One .357 caliber ammunition; and
- Drug paraphernalia.
The suspect and the confiscated items were brought to the Kalamansig MPS for proper documentation and legal proceedings.
Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Director, PCOL Bernard L. Lao, commended the operatives for their successful mission, emphasizing the significance of intensified law enforcement efforts in curbing illegal drug activities and the proliferation of loose firearms.
This operation aligns with the directive of PBGEN Arnold P. Ardiente, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12), to strengthen anti-criminality campaigns through the effective implementation of search warrants.
Authorities continue to urge the public to report any suspicious activities to help maintain peace and order in the community.
