GENERAL SANTOS CITY – Authorities apprehended five individuals in a buy-bust operation at a drug den in FVR Village, Barangay Fatima, General Santos City, on February 20, 2025, at around 5:30 PM. The operation resulted in the confiscation of seven packets of suspected shabu worth approximately P82,960.00, along with various drug paraphernalia.
The operation was spearheaded by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 12 (PDEA RO12) Regional Special Enforcement Team, in coordination with PDEA Sargen PO, General Santos City Police Office (GSCPO) Police Stations 5 and 7, and the Coast Guard Intelligence Group Southern Mindanao.
The arrested individuals were identified as:
- Alias Jomar, 38, male, mechanic (owner of the drug den);
- Alias Shella, 32, female (drug den employee);
- Alias Chella, 21, female, waitress (visitor);
- Alias Alizar, 25, male (visitor);
- Alias Jovenal, 26, male, baker (visitor).
According to PDEA RO12 Regional Director Benjamin C. Recites III, the suspects will face charges for violating Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Authorities continue to intensify their anti-drug operations to curb illegal drug activities in the region.
