Kadayangan, SGA – A significant milestone in conflict resolution was achieved as clans from Kadayangan Municipality formally settled their long-lasting rido (clan feud) on February 9, 2025, in a reconciliation ceremony held at the Covered Court, Barangay Mudseng, Kadayangan.

The peaceful settlement was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Bangsamoro Government, represented by the Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS), in coordination with the local government unit of Kadayangan, the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the Coordinating Committee on the Cessation of Hostilities (CCCH) of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), the Special Geographic Area Development Authority, and other concerned organizations and individuals. The initiative aims to strengthen community ties and foster long-term peace in the region.

Antao underscored the importance of continuous advocacy for dialogue, unity, and ethical leadership, stressing that peace in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) is a shared responsibility. He highlighted the support of Governor Lala Talino in ensuring that peace initiatives reach all 63 barangays in the Special Geographic Area (SGA).
