Davao de Oro police authorities successfully apprehended multiple high-profile fugitives in a series of operations conducted from February 15 to 16, 2025, reinforcing their commitment to public safety and justice.
On February 16, personnel of the Montevista Municipal Police Station, in collaboration with the 1st Davao de Oro Provincial Mobile Force Company, conducted a Manhunt Charlie operation at around 10:35 AM in Purok 7, Barangay San Jose, Montevista. This resulted in the arrest of a municipal-level most wanted person, who is facing 26 counts of theft through falsification of commercial documents. The warrant of arrest was issued by the Acting Presiding Judge of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC) Branch 2, 11th Judicial Region, Davao City, under Criminal Case Numbers M-DVO-25-00128-CR to M-DVO-25-00153-CR, with a recommended bail of ₱36,000.00. The arrested individual is now in police custody for legal proceedings.
In a separate operation on the same day, the Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office (DDOPPO), through the Pantukan Municipal Police Station (MPS), successfully apprehended a suspect wanted for rape at around 10:00 AM. The operation involved personnel from the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) DDOPPO, Tracker Team of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Davao de Oro, Provincial Intelligence Team (PIT) Davao de Oro, 1101st Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 11, and the 2nd Davao de Oro Provincial Mobile Force Company (DDOPMFC). The suspect, a 39-year-old resident of Riverside, Napnapan, Pantukan, was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 57 in Mabini, Davao de Oro, dated January 27, 2025. The charges fall under Article 266-A (1) in relation to Article 266-B of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by Republic Act No. 8353 and further amended by Republic Act No. 11648, with no bail recommended. The suspect remains in police custody as legal proceedings continue.
Meanwhile, on February 15, at approximately 12:30 PM, personnel from the Mabini Municipal Police Station (MPS), under the supervision of PMAJ Churchill Pablo B. Angog Jr., arrested the Top 2 Provincial and Top 1 Municipal Most Wanted Person for murder in Barangay Cuambog, Mabini, Davao de Oro. The operation was conducted in coordination with the 2nd Davao de Oro Provincial Mobile Force Company, 1101st Regional Mobile Force Battalion 11, and Maritime PNP 11. The suspect, a 37-year-old farmer from Banisilan, North Cotabato, was apprehended based on a warrant issued by Hon. Cresenciana Dela Cruz Cruz, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 3, 11th Judicial Region, Nabunturan, Davao de Oro, under Criminal Case No. 742-2020, with no bail recommended. The suspect is now in police custody awaiting further legal proceedings.
