Parang, Maguindanao del Norte – The Police Regional Office in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO BAR), under the leadership of Regional Director PBGEN Romeo J. Macapaz, marked a significant milestone on January 31, 2025, with the completion and PNP Badge of Honor ceremonies for 291 graduates of the Public Safety Field Training Program (PSFTP) Class 2023-03 “HIMAGLASIK.” The event was held at the PRO BAR Grandstand in Camp Brigadier General Salipada K. Pendatun.
These graduates, all former combatants of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF), have now officially joined the ranks of the Philippine National Police (PNP). Over the past six months, they underwent rigorous field training across various municipal and city police stations, gaining hands-on experience in patrol operations, crime response, investigations, and community policing.
Pat Bai Zohaira A. Kabuntalan emerged as the top graduate, receiving the Academic Excellence Award with a final average of 96.67%. Pat Daturasdin I. Abas followed as the second top performer with 95.27%, while Pat Aslanie M. Andamama secured the third spot with a final average of 93.95%. Leadership awards were also conferred on Class President Pat Sulman K. Odin and Battalion Commander Pat Zuharto A. Laguiamuda.
A highlight of the ceremony was the formal bestowal of PNP badges and insignia, led by PCOL Alan B. Manibog, Acting Deputy Regional Director for Administration, PRO BAR, representing the Regional Director. The momentous occasion was attended by the families and loved ones of the graduates, underscoring their transition from combatants to peace officers committed to upholding law and order in BARMM.
This successful integration is in line with NAPOLCOM Resolution No. 2022-008, which aims to promote inclusivity and reconciliation within law enforcement. It strengthens peace-building efforts, fosters trust between local communities and authorities, and reduces risks of hostilities, ensuring a more stable and secure Bangsamoro Region.
The Philippine government, under the leadership of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Chief PNP, POLICE GENERAL Rommel Francisco Marbil, remains committed to fostering a professional, inclusive, and community-oriented police force. This initiative highlights a collective vision for a safer and more progressive Bangsamoro, where diverse cultures and beliefs harmoniously coexist, and where law enforcement serves with integrity and dedication.
