In a series of coordinated police operations on January 14, 2025, law enforcement authorities in Sarangani Province successfully apprehended three most-wanted individuals, all facing charges of rape, demonstrating their commitment to upholding public safety and justice.

Arrest of Top 1 Municipal Most Wanted
Personnel from Maasim Municipal Police Station (MPS), supported by the Regional Intelligence Division (RID 12), Sarangani Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU)/PDEU, RID 12 Tracker Team Alpha, and the 1204th Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB 12), arrested the Top 1 Municipal Level Most Wanted Person in Purok Bagakay, Barangay Lumatil, Maasim.

The suspect, identified as alias “Abdul,” 57, a resident of the area, was apprehended based on a warrant issued by the Presiding Judge of Family Court, 12th Judicial Region, Branch 10, Alabel, Sarangani Province, on December 10, 2024. Abdul faces charges of Attempted Rape under Criminal Case Nos. 03922-24(FC) and 03923-24(FC), with bail set at Php 120,000.00, and Statutory Rape, which carries no bail. He voluntarily submitted himself to authorities and is currently in the custody of Maasim MPS for documentation and legal proceedings.

Manhunt Charlie Operation in Malungon
Meanwhile, joint operatives of Malungon MPS, RID 12 Tracker Team Alpha, PIU Sarangani, and the 1st Company Sarangani Provincial Mobile Force Company (SPMFC) conducted two successful Manhunt Charlie operations in Malungon.

The first operation, carried out in Barangay Kiblat, resulted in the arrest of alias “Dodong,” 42, a farmer from Sitio Kamdaat, Barangay Kiblat. He was apprehended under an Alias Warrant of Arrest for three counts of Rape in relation to RA 7610, under Criminal Case Nos. 2126-06, 2127-06, and 2128-06, issued by the Executive Judge of the Regional Trial Court Branch 38, 11th Judicial Region, Alabel, Sarangani Province, dated January 28, 2010. No bail was recommended for the charges.

The second operation in Purok Daisy, Barangay Malandag, led to the capture of another individual also identified as alias “Dodong,” 33, a farmer from the area. He was arrested based on a warrant for 21 counts of Rape under Criminal Case Nos. 03887-24(FC) to 03907-24(FC), issued by the Presiding Judge of the Family Court, 11th Judicial Region, Branch 10, Alabel, Sarangani Province. Similar to the first case, no bail was recommended.

Both suspects were informed of their constitutional rights in a language they understood and are now in the custody of Malungon MPS for proper legal disposition.
