Bubong, Lanao del Sur – The Lanao del Sur Provincial Police Office (LDSPPO) has lauded the personnel of the Bubong Municipal Police Station (MPS) for their exemplary efforts in a successful law enforcement operation. The operation, conducted on January 15, 2025, at around 3:00 PM in Barangay Sunggod, Bubong, resulted in the apprehension of a high-profile fugitive.

The suspect, a resident of Barangay Sunggod, was identified as the Top 10 Most Wanted Person in Lanao del Sur and the Top 1 Most Wanted Person at the municipal level in Bubong. The arrest was carried out through the service of a warrant issued under Criminal Case No. 9908-2024 for violations of Republic Act (RA) 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act. The warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 8, Marawi City, on January 14, 2025, with no bail recommended.

Additionally, the suspect faced a final judgment of conviction under Criminal Case Number 2024-1355B for violating Article 264 of the Revised Penal Code (RPC) concerning the discharge of firearms. This judgment was issued by the Municipal Trial Court of the 12th Judicial Region in Ditsaan Ramain, Lanao del Sur, on January 13, 2025.

The operation, which showcased precise planning and execution by the Bubong MPS team, reflects the commitment of local law enforcement to uphold peace and security in the province. Following the arrest, the suspect was immediately transported to the Bubong MPS for proper documentation and further legal proceedings.

LDSPPO commended the dedication and professionalism of the Bubong MPS personnel involved in the operation. The office reaffirmed its commitment to supporting similar initiatives aimed at apprehending fugitives and ensuring justice for the community.
