Mati City, Davao Oriental — An online seller was apprehended in an entrapment operation conducted by authorities on Rizal Street, Mati City, Davao Oriental, on December 26, 2024.
The operation was carried out by the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 11, Mati City Police Station, Davao Oriental Provincial Field Unit, and the Davao Oriental Provincial Cybercrime Response Team.
According to Police Major Al Anthony I. Gumban, Officer-in-Charge of the Mati City Police Station, the suspect was identified as “Adeline,” 29, a resident of Purok Malinawon, Barangay Bobon, Mati City.
Confiscated from the suspect were firecrackers and pyrotechnic devices valued at approximately Php30,000.
The Police Regional Office 11 reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing the law effectively and ensuring a safe and joyous celebration for the community. Authorities continue to urge the public to avoid illegal fireworks to prevent accidents and promote public safety during the holiday season.
