Marcos Jr., and the Bangsamoro government, underscores the collective commitment to fostering inclusivity, transparency, and moral governance. The initiative is spearheaded by the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU), in partnership with local and regional leaders.

Its transformation into a thriving community serves as a powerful testament to the strides made in the Bangsamoro peace process. Once a symbol of conflict, the area is now envisioned as a beacon of hope and progress, offering its residents a new lease on life.
Building a Better Future
The housing and resettlement project aims to provide sustainable and well-planned housing facilities for the community, complete with essential infrastructure and services. Beyond shelter, the initiative seeks to empower residents by offering livelihood opportunities, education, and healthcare services. The development is designed to integrate seamlessly with the surrounding areas, fostering economic growth and social harmony.
Governor Macacua highlighted the importance of collaboration and shared responsibility in ensuring the project’s success. “Through the consistent support of our President and the dedication of our local leaders, we are building not just houses but a future for our people. This is moral governance in action,” he added.
A Milestone in the Bangsamoro Peace Process
The groundbreaking ceremony signifies a new chapter in the Bangsamoro peace process, which has been a cornerstone of the region’s development agenda. By addressing the root causes of conflict and providing opportunities for growth and stability, the project reinforces the government’s commitment to lasting peace and prosperity.
