Marawi City, Philippines – Minister Atty. Hamid Aminoddin D. Barra of the Ministry of Human Settlements and Development (MHSD-BARMM) led the official contract signing ceremony for nine projects under the Marawi Rehabilitation Program. The event took place recently at Santorini Hotel, Garden Café and Events Place, Heaven Road, Marawi City.

In his speech, Minister Barra emphasized the importance of formal contracts, highlighting their alignment with Islamic principles. He also announced upcoming initiatives of the agency for 2025, which aim to benefit the entire Bangsamoro region.

The event was attended by members of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA-BARMM), including Program Manager MP Said M. Sheik of the BARMM-Marawi Rehabilitation Program (MRP), proactive Project Steering Committee member MP Amroussi A. Macatanong, and other committee members.

The successful bidders for the projects include H&N Builders and Enterprises, Al Badr Construction, Mardeka Construction Services, Al Fahad Builders and Enterprises, Katha Builders and Supplies Inc., and BZN Construction Services.

The Bangsamoro Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim, has allocated a significant annual budget of PHP 500 million for the rehabilitation of Marawi. This funding is expected to sustain the rebuilding efforts in the war-torn city.

The Marawi Rehabilitation Program continues to be a beacon of hope for the city and its people, with these projects symbolizing a renewed commitment to rebuilding and restoring the community’s vibrancy.
