Maramag, Bukidnon – In a successful anti-drug operation, personnel from the Bukidnon Provincial Police Office – Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (BUKPPO-PDEU), led by Police Major Richlie D. Murallon, in collaboration with Maramag Municipal Police Station (MPS) and Bukidnon Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), apprehended a 52-year-old male suspect during a buy-bust operation in Purok 9, Base Camp, Maramag, Bukidnon.
The operation, which took place on [insert date], resulted in the seizure of 6.07 grams of suspected shabu, valued at ₱41,276.00 based on the standard drug price index.
Following the operation, the arrested suspect and the seized evidence were taken to the Maramag MPS for proper documentation and disposition. The evidence will be forwarded to the Provincial Forensic Unit for further qualitative and quantitative examinations to strengthen the case.
Authorities confirmed that cases for violations of Sections 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) under Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, have been prepared against the suspect.
The Bukidnon police reaffirmed their commitment to the intensified campaign against illegal drugs in the province, emphasizing that collaborative efforts with local police stations and intelligence units continue to yield significant results.
