Vice Mayoralty Candidate Shot Dead in Tantangan, South Cotabato

Tantangan, South Cotabato – Tragedy struck the town of Tantangan early Monday morning, November 18, 2024, as vice mayoral candidate Jose “Bobot” Osorio was gunned down inside his eatery in Barangay Bukay Pait. The incident occurred around 6:00 AM, with the assailants fleeing the scene immediately after the attack.

According to initial reports from the Tantangan Municipal Police Station (MPS), Osorio sustained multiple gunshot wounds, leading to his untimely death. Investigators recovered six empty shells at the crime scene, though the firearm used remains unidentified. “This is a senseless act of violence that must not go unpunished. We will exhaust all efforts to ensure that those responsible for this heinous crime face the full force of the law,” Miguel stated.
