Jolo, Sulu – Two minors were arrested during an anti-criminality checkpoint operation conducted by the Jolo Municipal Police Station (MPS) last night in Sitio Zone 1, Barangay Tulay, Jolo, Sulu. The operation was led by PCPT Erwin Cabria under the supervision of PLTC Annidul Sali, with support from the Regional Mobile Force Company 1404th-B and Regional Mobile Force Battalion 14-B.
At around 11:20 PM, police apprehended the two teenagers, identified by their aliases “Zhiemhar” and “Kimar,” both 16 years old and residents of Barangay Tulay. Authorities reported seizing two plastic sachets containing dried marijuana leaves, weighing approximately 1.5 grams with an estimated value of PHP 180, along with drug paraphernalia and other evidence.
The two suspects are currently detained at the Jolo MPS detention facility as authorities prepare to file charges against them for violating Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
