Provincial Director PCOL Robert S. Daculan of the Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office (LDSPPO) commended the personnel of Wao Municipal Police Station (MPS), the 3rd Platoon of the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) of LDSPPO, and the Delta Company of the 55th Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army for their successful joint law enforcement operation in Wao, Lanao del Sur.
The coordinated operation, held through a checkpoint along the National Highway at Barangay East Kilikili, Wao, resulted in the apprehension of two drug suspects from Camp 1, Maramag, Bukidnon. The checkpoint, conducted at approximately 11:55 p.m. on November 2, 2024, led to the recovery of suspected illegal drugs and other items in the suspects’ possession.
Seized during the operation were three heat-sealed transparent sachets containing suspected shabu with an approximate weight of 5 grams and an estimated street value of PHP 34,000. Authorities also confiscated a Samsung analog cellphone, a black wallet containing various identification cards, a pair of Adidas shoes, and a Bajaj tri-wheeler with plate number 376KUN.
Markings, pictorials, and inventory of the evidence were conducted on-site, with Barangay East Kilikili Chairman and a media representative present to witness and ensure transparency during the documentation process.
The suspects, along with the confiscated items, have been taken to the Wao Municipal Police Station for further documentation and proper disposition.
