PNP-DEG Intensifies Anti-Illegal Drug Campaign Nationwide: High-Value Target Arrested in Cotabato City

The Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PNP-DEG) continues to intensify its campaign against illegal drugs, extending operations beyond Metro Manila and into the provinces. This effort aims to curb the proliferation of illegal drugs throughout the country.

On [insert date], a successful operation was conducted in partnership with the Special Operations Unit 15 (BARMM), Cotabato City Police Station 2, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PDEA-BAR), and the Regional Intelligence Unit. The operation took place in Mother Barangay Rosary Heights, Cotabato City, resulting in the arrest of a high-value target, identified only as “Ate Bai.”

Authorities seized 20 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing shabu, with an estimated street value of PHP 233,240.00. The suspect is currently in police custody and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The PNP-DEG remains committed to its mission of eradicating illegal drug activities across the country, as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to maintain peace and order.
