Over Php 700K Worth of Drugs Seized in South Cotabato, One Man Arrested

South Cotabato — Over Php 700,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) 12 in Purok 8, Barangay Poblacion, Tupi, South Cotabato. A 43-year-old man, identified as a High-Value Individual (HVI) linked to illegal drugs, was arrested.

The suspect, known by the alias “Sa-ed,” is a resident of Datu Abdullah Sangki in Maguindanao Province. According to the RPDEU 12 report, authorities confiscated 109.7 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of Php 745,960.

In addition to the illegal drugs, the police also recovered one genuine Php 1,000 bill and nine fake Php 1,000 bills used as boodle money during the operation.

The suspect is now facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The RPDEU 12 continues its operations to ensure the safety of citizens against the threats of illegal drugs.
