Regional Executive Director Henry A. Adornado, represented by Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services Ronald D. Gadot, Sr., and Misamis Oriental Provincial Governor Peter M. Unabia, led the distribution of agricultural land patents. A total of 196,074 square meters of land were awarded to 38 beneficiaries from various municipalities within the province.

During the ceremony, ARD Gadot expressed his congratulations to the new patent holders and acknowledged Governor Unabia’s pivotal role in facilitating the partnership with DENR-PENRO. He highlighted the governor’s commitment to allocate additional budget resources, which enabled faster processing of land titles.

The event was attended by members of the Provincial Board and key DENR officials, including PENR Officer Vergilino P. Alima and CENR Officers from Initao and Gingoog City, Jerome G. Pioquinto and Liza B. Requiña.

The Handog Titulo Program aims to accelerate the issuance of public land patents, focusing on residential and agricultural patents for qualified recipients. By providing security of land tenure, the initiative seeks to alleviate poverty, drive economic development, and foster land-related transactions in the province.

With this program, the DENR and local government aim to empower residents and contribute to the overall economic vitality of Misamis Oriental.
