The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) took center stage at the Saudi International Halal Expo, where Bangsamoro Board of Investment Chairperson Mohamad Omar Pasigan and Board of Governor Datu Habib Ambolodto, along with other BARMM officials, proudly represented the region. This event is a significant step for BARMM, emphasizing its commitment to global halal trade and sustainable investments.



Collaborating closely with the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) Halal Industry team, led by Project Manager Aleem Siddiqui Guiapal, the BARMM delegation presented opportunities for investors in the Philippine halal sector. National government officials also joined the event, strengthening ties and emphasizing the Philippines’ readiness to engage in the growing global halal market.
The BARMM delegation highlighted the region’s efforts to position itself as a key hub for halal commerce and sustainable development. By fostering global partnerships and showcasing BARMM’s investment potential, the delegation aims to attract foreign investments that align with the region’s economic growth goals while supporting the halal industry.
