Ditsa-an Ramain, Lanao del Sur – March 8, 2025 – A joint law enforcement operation conducted by various police units successfully led to the arrest of two drug suspects in Barangay Ramain, Ditsa-an Ramain, Lanao del Sur.
The operation, spearheaded by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of the Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office (LDSPPO) in collaboration with the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU-LDSPPO), the 1403rd Regional Mobile Force Company (RMFC) of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 14-A (RMFB14-A), the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU) of PRO BAR, and the Ditsa-an Ramain Municipal Police Station, took place at approximately 5:00 PM.
Authorities confiscated three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, weighing approximately 12 grams, with an estimated street value of PHP 81,600. Other seized items included a Samsung Android cellphone, a TIN ID, a genuine PHP 500 bill, nine cut photocopied PHP 500 bills (boodle money), an improvised tooter, a lighter, and a coin purse.
A physical inventory of the recovered evidence was conducted in the presence of the suspects and witnessed by a representative from the Department of Justice (DOJ) and a local barangay official. The arrested individuals were also informed of their constitutional rights in a language they understood.
The suspects and the confiscated items were brought to the Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office for documentation and the filing of appropriate charges. PCOL Robert S. Daculan, Provincial Director of LDSPPO, commended the operatives for their successful enforcement efforts in combating illegal drugs in the province.
