MANGUDADATU, Maguindanao del Sur — Eleven individuals were arrested after government authorities raided a suspected drug den in Barangay Tumbao, Mangudadatu, Maguindanao del Sur, on Friday afternoon, October 9, 2026, recovering an estimated ₱81,600 worth of suspected shabu and several items allegedly used in illegal drug activities.

The operation was conducted at around 3:30 p.m. in Purok 5, Barangay Tumbao, by a joint team led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Maguindanao del Sur Provincial Office, with support from other PDEA units, the Philippine Army’s 22nd Mechanized Infantry Company, and the Mangudadatu Municipal Police Station.

Authorities identified the arrested individuals as Bati Salindab, Samrod Usop Timpolok, Kevin Tempolok, Bryan Daud Uyag, Tundatu Betol, Rudy Pilot Anta, Bando Silongan, Mark Mama Cadel, Jimmy Uyag, Datu Puti Amino, alias “Ligaya,” and Boren Mangandog. All 11 were reported to be residents of Barangay Tumbao.

During the operation, authorities reportedly seized 17 sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated combined weight of 12 grams and a total estimated value of ₱81,600. Another sachet weighing approximately 0.39 gram, allegedly associated with the sale of illegal drugs, was also recovered.

Other items confiscated included ₱500 in buy-bust money, a digital weighing scale, aluminum foil, lighters, a bamboo sealer, and other materials suspected of being used in illegal drug activities.

The confiscated substances and other evidence, together with the arrested individuals, were brought to the PDEA Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) office for documentation and further investigation in preparation for the filing of appropriate charges.

The suspects are expected to face charges for alleged violations of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The specific charges to be filed against each individual were not detailed in the available information.

Authorities have reiterated their call for residents to cooperate with law enforcement agencies by reporting suspected illegal drug activities in their communities.

The arrests form part of law enforcement efforts to address the alleged distribution and use of illegal drugs in Maguindanao del Sur. However, the allegations against the arrested individuals remain subject to investigation and judicial proceedings.

The suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
