BUKIDNON — Three individuals were arrested and suspected illegal drugs with a combined estimated street value of ₱102,688 were seized in two separate police anti-drug operations conducted in Valencia City and Pangantucan, Bukidnon, on September 26 and 27.
The operations resulted in the confiscation of a total of 13.46 grams of suspected shabu and 93 grams of suspected marijuana, according to police reports.
In Valencia City, a 24-year-old fruit vendor, identified by the alias “Small,” was arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted in the afternoon of September 26 at Purok 2, Barangay Poblacion.
The operation was carried out by the Valencia City Police Station, with the assistance of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 10, 1003rd Maneuver Company, 2nd Bukidnon Provincial Mobile Force Company, PDEA-10, and other supporting units.
Police said they recovered approximately 6.3 grams of suspected shabu from the operation, including the sachet allegedly sold to an undercover police officer and additional sachets reportedly recovered from the suspect.
The confiscated suspected shabu was placed at an estimated value of ₱42,840.
The arrested suspect is now under the custody of the Valencia City Police Station while authorities prepare the necessary documentation and appropriate charges.
The second operation was conducted on the evening of September 27 in Integrated Village, Poblacion, Pangantucan, where two men were arrested during another buy-bust operation.
The operation was led by the Pangantucan Municipal Police Station, with support from the 2nd Bukidnon Provincial Mobile Force Company and the Bukidnon Police Intelligence Unit.
Authorities reported the seizure of approximately 7.16 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated value of ₱48,688, and 93 grams of suspected marijuana, valued at approximately ₱11,160.
A motorcycle and other pieces of evidence were also reportedly confiscated during the operation.
The two arrested men were brought under the custody of the Pangantucan Municipal Police Station for proper disposition and the filing of appropriate cases.
Combined, the two operations yielded an estimated ₱102,688 worth of suspected illegal drugs, consisting of suspected shabu and marijuana.
The Police Regional Office 10 said it continues to intensify its campaign against illegal drugs through intelligence-driven operations and coordinated efforts among police, PDEA and other law enforcement units.
PRO10 Regional Director PBGen Nestor C. Babagay Jr. emphasized the continuing enforcement campaign against illegal drugs and urged the public to cooperate with authorities and report information that could help prevent the proliferation of illegal drugs in communities.
The seized substances will be subjected to the appropriate examination and disposition procedures. The allegations against the arrested individuals remain subject to the investigation and the filing of charges in accordance with law.
