CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — A woman was injured after she was allegedly stabbed by her husband in District 3, Barangay Consolacion, Cagayan de Oro City, on Monday afternoon, August 17, 2026.
Personnel of Police Station 5 of the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office responded to a reported stabbing incident at around 1:45 p.m.
Upon reaching the area, responding police officers found the victim suffering from a stab wound to the head. She was immediately brought to the Cagayan de Oro Medical Center for medical treatment.
Authorities said the victim was in stable condition as of the latest information available.
Police arrested the alleged attacker, identified only by the alias “Tan,” an adult and the victim’s husband who also resides in the area.
The suspect was taken into custody at Police Station 5, where police are completing the necessary documentation and processing the case.
Authorities are preparing the appropriate charges against the suspect in connection with the incident.
