CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — A 20-year-old man believed to have been struggling with depression was found dead in an apparent suicide incident in Caritas Village, Barangay Indahag, at around 4:00 p.m., June 2, 2026 authorities reported.

The victim was identified as Carlito Inocencio, a resident of Zone 6, Gango, Libona, Bukidnon.
Initial investigation conducted by Police Staff Sergeant Genesis Babanto of Police Station 2 Cogon indicated that no foul play was observed at the scene. Authorities said the victim allegedly used a rope in the incident, which resulted in his death.
Police immediately responded to the area following reports of the incident and carried out documentation and coordination procedures as part of the ongoing investigation.
The tragedy has once again highlighted the growing concern over mental health struggles, particularly among young people facing emotional and psychological burdens.
