LAMBAYONG, Sultan Kudarat — Two men riding a motorcycle were killed on the spot after they were ambushed by armed assailants in Purok Patambeg, Barangay Zeneben, Lambayong, on Monday night, December 15.
Police identified the fatalities as Reymar Tamanio Pedroso and Glenn Pedregosa Rabut, both 27 years old and residents of Barangay Bulod, Sultan sa Barongis, Maguindanao del Sur.
According to the Lambayong Municipal Police Station, the victims were traveling on a motorcycle when unidentified suspects suddenly opened fire, hitting them multiple times. The attackers immediately fled the scene after the shooting, barangay officials said.
The ambush has sparked alarm among residents, as authorities continue to piece together the circumstances surrounding the deadly attack. Police investigators, in coordination with barangay officials, are conducting a thorough probe to identify the suspects and determine the motive behind the killing.
As of this writing, no arrests have been made, and authorities have yet to establish whether the incident was linked to personal disputes, criminal activity, or other motives. Police urged anyone with information to come forward to help bring the perpetrators to justice.
