DATU MONTAWAL, MAGUINDANAO DEL SUR — Police operatives arrested an alleged drug personality and seized suspected shabu worth Php600,000 during an anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay Pagagawan, Datu Montawal, on August 27, 2025.
The suspect, identified only by the alias “Eric”, was apprehended following a targeted intelligence-driven operation carried out by the Police Regional Office–Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO BAR), in coordination with the local community.
Authorities said crucial tips from concerned residents regarding the suspect’s activities significantly contributed to the success of the operation. Confiscated evidence, including the suspected illegal drugs, is now under police custody.
The arrested individual is currently detained at the Datu Montawal Municipal Police Station (MPS) pending further investigation and the filing of appropriate charges.
PBGEN Jaysen C. De Guzman, Regional Director of PRO BAR, lauded the operatives for their vigilance and persistence in the ongoing anti-drug campaign. He also reaffirmed the regional police’s commitment to curb the proliferation of illegal drugs and uphold the rule of law across the Bangsamoro region.
