General Santos City — Four high-value individuals (HVIs) suspected of involvement in illegal drug activities were arrested early morning on Wednesday, June 5, during a buy-bust operation in this city.
The operation, which took place at around 6:38 a.m., was carried out by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) 12, in coordination with the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group–Special Operations Unit (PDEG-SOU) 12, Police Station 2 of the General Santos City Police Office (GSCPO), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 12.
Arrested were four male suspects identified by their aliases: “Dats,” 32; “Aldrin,” 31; “Robin,” 31; and “Brobro,” 34. All four are residents of General Santos City. Three are unemployed while one works as a motorcycle mechanic. Authorities have classified them as high-value targets due to their reported roles in local drug operations.
Recovered during the sting operation were various sachets of suspected shabu with a combined weight of approximately 51 grams. The estimated street value of the confiscated drugs is around ₱346,800.
Among the seized items were:
- One small plastic sachet (approx. 0.5 gram) of suspected shabu,
- One large sachet containing about 25 grams,
- A small sachet concealed in a green canister reportedly held by “Dats”,
- Two medium sachets (5 grams each) found in a black pouch from “Aldrin”,
- One medium sachet (5 grams) from “Robin”,
- Two medium sachets (5 grams each) from “Brobro”.
Authorities also confiscated the marked buy-bust money amounting to ₱1,000 from “Dats”.
All confiscated drug items have been turned over to the case investigator and are scheduled for forensic examination at the Regional Forensic Unit 12 in General Santos City.
Police officials reiterated their commitment to intensifying the campaign against illegal drugs, particularly targeting high-value individuals who pose a greater threat to public safety.
